Kerr (Hunting Ancient)
your tartan, your story
Kerr is one of the prominent border reiver clans known for their significant role in the region’s history. The name Kerr, derived from the Old Norse “kjarr” meaning “marsh dweller,” came to Scotland from Normandy. The clan’s roots trace back to the 12th century, with the Kerrs establishing themselves as influential Crown vassals by the 15th century.
