Leslie Green (Ancient)
your tartan, your story
The Leslie clan traces its origin to Bartolf, a Hungarian nobleman who came to Scotland with Saint Margaret in 1067. He married the king’s sister, Beatrix, and built a castle at Lesselyn, from which the clan name derives. The clan supported Robert the Bruce and signed the Declaration of Arbroath.
