The Thompsons have roots in the Borders region, traditionally associated with the reiving culture of the Anglo-Scottish borderlands. Known as a sept of Clan MacTavish, the Thompsons were historically skilled horsemen and defenders of their territory, often involved in the turbulent history of the Marches.

how ordering trews works
Choose a tartan. We have over 250 available. Take some simple measurements. If you don't have a tape measure, order a tartan sample and measuring pack. This includes a measuring guide and a tape.

Place your order and after checkout, email us with your measurements. Make sure to include your order number.
Sit back and relax. Once you receive your trews, if you need any adjustments, we can reimburse the cost of alterations.
